About the job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of automated tests. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement effective testing strategies, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of quality. In addition, you will also be involved in manual testing activities to complement the automation efforts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with quality assurance, manual and automated testing.
  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, with a focus on testing front-end and back-end applications.
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience using Cucumber.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Must be advanced in English (written and spoken).
  • Must be able to work in the US-East Coast or UK time zone (this is a remote position).

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in the Food & Supply Chain domain is a plus.
  • Experience working with MySQL and BigQuery (nice to have)
  • Experience with test management tools, version control systems, and defect tracking systems is preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript is a plus.
  • Experience in performance and stress testing is nice to have.
  • Advanced in Spanish (written and spoken)
  • Experience with or interest in working remotely with a multicultural and progressive team spread out across various time zones.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and efficient automated test scripts to validate front-end and back-end functionalities.
  • Conduct manual testing activities to complement the automated test suites, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify and report software defects, ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications.
  • Collaborate with the development and product teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues and bugs.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing to verify the stability of software releases.
  • Implement and improve test automation frameworks and methodologies to increase testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reports on test results, including defect tracking and progress metrics.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to test automation and software quality.
  • Continuously monitor test results, investigate and report issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.
