This job opportunity is exclusively available for candidates based in Mexico. The role will be based in our Guadalajara office, offering a hybrid arrangement with up to 3 days per week in-office and the remaining days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, high-availability systems on AWS or GCP, ensuring robustness, performance, and security.
  • Lead cloud architecture decisions, embracing serverless architectures, microservices, and containerization.
  • Drive automation and streamline deployments embracing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and / or cloud native solutions
  • Oversee the security aspects of cloud infrastructure deployments, implementing best practices and compliance policies to safeguard our infrastructure.
  • Manage cloud networking architecture, optimizing connectivity and security through VPCs, subnets, IAM roles, and security groups.
  • Conduct system troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Mentor engineers on cloud engineering, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and continuous learning opportunities

Experience and Skills

  • Expertise in AWS services (or GCP equivalents), such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and VPC
  • Proficient in designing and maintaining cloud-native architectures, with a strong understanding of microservices and serverless frameworks.
  • Strong background in DevOps methodologies, with hands-on experience in automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and network security.
  • Experience with database management in both relational no-sql cloud solutions
  • Ability to deploy and support managed ElasticSearch.
  • Deep knowledge of caching at scale with Redis and other distributed caching technologies.
  • Skilled in scripting and automation with languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across various levels of the stack.
  • English C1 +
